My computer is going to be gone for a week or so and I have come up with something to do in my spare time...

Barbies

For some reason I get Barbie catalogs in the mail. Normally, I thumb through them, have a laugh, and then toss them in the recycle bin. However, on this particular day, I received this in the mail:

I don't think I've ever wanted a Barbie so damn bad in my whole life.

I am super moody today.

 

 I've created the moodboard for my upcoming handbag and footwear collection. Think: The Brothers Grimm, William Morris, Sir Edward Burne-Jones, Charles Perrault, and Aubrey Beardsley. With a little bit of Erzsébet Báthory. Just a little. And, dare I say, a little apocalyptic?

Batik Stamps

I went to Sarasota Architectural Salvage today and found some Batik Stamps! Here they are tested out on some hand-dyed rayon fabric that I made in March. I haaave to go back and get the rest!

I dyed the fabric for this dress! A senior fashion designer contacted me and I dyed sixteen yards of silk organza for her. This image isn't very true-to-color; it's actually a bit warmer eggplant-brown. Hooray for collaboration!
